A Bastrop business whose wide range of services includes solar-energy support seems to be doing things quite right. Butler Contractors won first place for Best Contractor for 2018 and 2019 in the Bastrop Advertiser’s annual Best of Bastrop County readers’ poll. Owned by Alan Butler, Butler Contractors has been doing impressive business since opening in 2014. The Iowan transplant, who grew up in the construction business, is assisted by his mother Chris Butler, who is the director of operations, and his younger brother, Robert, who gives creative input. The company, with a crew of four additional workers, does everything from windows and doors and pressure washing to solar energy sales/installation and property inspections. “The majority of our work is residential,” Alan said, though they also handle a good amount of businesses.
